Parents bought and paid for that school with their hard-earned tax money...it's not a fiefdom! If a parent wants to have lunch with their child on a special occasion, like a birthday, it's none of the school's darn business what they eat! Next they'll be searching lunch bags and throwing out contraband cupcakes!
You can't actually believe that a school has more authority over what a child eats than their own parent! It may be the parent's fault if a child is obese, but that does NOT mean the school gets to take over the rearing of that child.

Too late...Brownsmill Elementary School (in Lithonia, Georgia) started doing that in 2004...the communist principal named Yvonne Sanders-Butler even enlisted school bus drivers in her Food Gestapo and had the school bus drivers confiscating sugary snacks on the frickin' school bus. Damn communist c***.
