Zarqawi, Spinning in His Grave
New York Sun ^ | June 8, 2006 | Ryan Sager

Posted on 06/08/2006 12:32:31 PM PDT by Roscoe Karns

Right now, I'm in the media room at YearlyKos, listening to liberal bloggers and activists fret about how to spin the killing of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Some snippets:

"We are constantly bashed on the right for not supporting the military." "We can't say 'yes, but'." As in, yes it's good Zarqawi is dead, but . . .

"Why have we not gotten Osama?"

"Zarqawi is not about Iraq." As in, the real reason we wanted him dead was the USS Cole bombing.

"We're talking to the 98 percent of the unwashed who don't know what the Cole is." In response to above.

"If we'd followed Clinton's anti-terrorism plan, we would have gotten Zarqawi years ago." As in, without going into Iraq.

"If you keep looking for someone long enough, you'll find him."

Nope. No way to spin this one.

""If we'd followed Clinton's anti-terrorism plan, we would have gotten Zarqawi years ago."

If somebody handed al Zarquawi to Clinton on a silver platter he'd have let him go for lack of evidence, like he did with bin Laden.

It really is useful to read them.

Kos/DU have fused with the Democrat Party/MSM.

What they say immediately appears on the lips of Dems/MSM.

Now, part of that might be because behind the screennames there ARE higherups in the party/MSM testing spin on their liberals kooks for effectiveness. I'm sure it's been done here, but I suspect far more there.

If you read long enough you'll see the platform response from our enemies being refined.

The sad truth is that they'd rather Zarqawi behead Bush, then our military use a bomb to send Zarqawi to Hell. That is why they are soulless. Power corrupts, they are evidence of it. They want power so bad they've allowed denial of it to corrupt their souls.

Call in and tell them if they lobby their liberal reps to allow us to invade and occupy Pakistan, we can then root out omar and bin ladin.

All dim bull$hit, trumped up lies that have failed... THAT'S WHAT THEY WERE "ABOUT"! :-)

Were any innocent "civilians" killed in this unprovoked attack of a private residence ?

"Why have we not gotten Osama?"

And the day we get Osama, they will be kvetching 'it doesn't matter' or 'there will be a Muslim backlash' or 'he was just a freedonm fighter' or 'George W Bush is resposible for as many deaths as OBL'.....

I don't know... I bet a lot of posters to KOS couldn't find their ass with both hands, no matter how long they looked!

1. "This is just another attempt by the Bush Administration to distract the American people from the culture of corruption in Washington."

2. "Excess use of bombs in Iraq contributing to global warming, says new study."

Why have we not gotten Osama?"

This one in particular gets on my nerves. Bill Clinton had seven years and eleven months to catch Osama after the first WTC attack, yet he gets a free pass. Go figure. Shouldn't President Bush have an equal amount of time?

They just need to check over at the New York Times:

"A Leader Is Eliminated, but Insurgency Is Likely to Carry On"

"Two Hours Later, a Painful, Familiar Beat Resumes"

And, so you know...I was just looking over at Microsoft's Encarta site, and i found this interesting tidbit in the "On This Date in History" file:

"On this day in 632, Muhammad, the founder of Islam, died in Medina."

Oh, my, my...coincidence?

Remember this is the crowd that wanted us out of Iraq by now. Some how, however, they must believe we could have gotten him without being in Iraq and that Iraq would not have slipped into a more dangerous position - the Civil War this crowd keeps saying is happening. They're of two minds on these things for obvious reasons. Success in Iraq doesn't help them get power back. They put their desire for power way ahead of what's good for Iraq, the US, or the world. Thus, Zarquai's death is a sad day indeed, but for all of the wrong reasons.

Judging from the pic I saw, he's not so much spinning in is grave as he is 'sloshing around' in it.

"If we'd followed Clinton's anti-terrorism plan, we would have gotten Zarqawi years ago."

What plan might that be? Never heard of one other than bombing aspirin factories.

John F*ng Kerry had a plan, although he never said what it was.

LOL. RICHLY PATHETIC.

IDIOTS.

Actually, I suspect Zarqawi is spinning on a skewer instead of in his grave.
