They talk about how jobs are a magnet. What is a real magnet for the third world invaders is our bloated Welfare State.
This is to empower government and nothing more. Without an underclass you don't need all those government employees to administer the programs that serve them.

I'm getting a beating in another thread somewhat related to this
Granted I am in one of the states that has taken the brunt of the financial burden that is illegal immigration...but I know of no shortage of conservatives that are on the record about the problem. Their getting listened to is a recent phenomenon.

I'm in total agreemwnt with Mr. Rector --- except he low-balled the extra costs to the Taxpayers, the direct payments will be much higher IMO.
Add in infrastructure related costs - more schools, hospitals/clinics, housing subsidies, child care subsidies, tuition for English learners, and more - and the total costs will eventually be a quarter Trillion/year if not higher.

Consider this if you want to be sick. If the Senate version is incorporated in the immigration bill we will have 6 million new residents, and if the Democrats get a majority in congress we all are going to be taxed to pay for it.

Illegals may know a little less about the way the Constitution works than you but you would not know it from your post. Is English your native language?

I think the reference was to the figures put out by the Heritage Foundation that were discussed on the Savage Show.

The first thing that popped into my mind was "anchor babies", keep em coming. They are just having the babies that young American women won't have. ;)
But that isn't really a joke, because those who support the Senate bill are looking at actuarial tables and Social Security promises and cringing at where we are headed.

They would pay social security, it would be taken our of their checks, just like the rest of us. On the flip side, they would get medicaid, wic, free breakfast and lunch at school, subsidized housing, foodstamps and then the kicker would be the Earned Income Tax Credit.
The woman I saw with all of those kids, if they were all born here, lets say $5000.00 per kid for prenatal care and delivery, if there were no complications. WIC for 1 year, that has to be worth another say $2000.00 (baby formula is so expensive that they have resorted locking it up in some stores). Free healthcare for the children until they are 18. Add education, which now we pay for breakfast and lunch. The amount that an anchor baby costs can never be reclaimed.

They basically get some degree of those services now. Even programs they are not technically allowed to get into...well, let's just say the barriers to entry as far as documentation is concerned are a bit on the low side.

Yes they do but after they are legalized they are eligible for all of it. I'm sure there is alot of other stuff they would get that I don't know about. It will become a nightmare. I live in a wealthy area, in one swoop of a pen, they redistricted the school cluster. One elementary school was effected by the change. It went from one of the best in our cluster, to flat broke, in one school year.
To: justshutupandtakeit
its called a typo, you jagoff. And we need more screeching fools and less phony conservatives, the country started going to hell under clinton, and bush hasn't reversed it, he has accelerated it. eff you.

That is true...and hopefully our politicians are smart enough to figure this out. :)

looking at actuarial tables
Does the government consider actuarial tables when looking at social security though. I suspect they just use a dartboard. When the 'gay marriage' debate was going on here I asked a politician what 'gay marriage' would do to some of our pension obligations; he had not thought about it.
