Bilbray/Busby results will be here under U.S. REPRESENTATIVE 50TH DISTRICT - (RUN-OFF) ... http://www.sdvote.org/election/congress.xml
All election results are on this page ... http://www.sdvote.org/election/primary.xml
There is something that Freepers need to know. The only reason Brian Bilbray won was because Francine Busby said that people "didn't need papers" to vote. She openly invited illegal aliens to participate and it single-handedly sank her campaign.
Had she not been caught, she would have won the election.
Bilbray still might have won, but it would have been closer. At least he will have somewhat of an advantage in November in being the incumbent. It probably doesn't hurt that he had been a congressman before and has more seniority than any of his opponents.
I think that will be the excuse her campaign uses. What excuse will she use when she loses in November?
Why is that witch Frankenfeinstein so popular there? DO the Hollywood stars back her with their bucks?
LOL, you got her good!
What a target
Bilbray + MM Indy = 55%
If that does not send a chill thru Congress nothing ever will
Yes, it was good news. Haven't seen yet how late it was before they knew for sure.
Shall we all carry recorders from now on to catch these creeps?
I seriously doubt that.
BUMP.
Hey there you! It's a good day to be a Bush bot. Z-Man is taking a permanent vacation at Club Paradise where the climate is always hot and dry.
More than anything else, this proves that border security is a winning issue.
I disagree. I don't actually think it had all that much to do with it. It 'might' have given Bilbray another half-point, but I have no reason to think it won him the election. Busby got roughly the same % that Gore and Kerry got.
Tello is my first ex-husband's name. He told me he was half Italian. (We met on the East Coast; he lived in Massachusetts, and New York, prior to meeting me.) I was married to him quite young, and kept the name when we divorced. My second husband was Libertarian Dennis Thompson (deceased 1994).
I had wondered if Tello might be Italian. A lot of the Tellos on the Social Security Death Index have obviously Spanish first names, but I think there are a number of cases where a name can be either Italian or Spanish with the same spelling (maybe because both languages are derived from Latin, or perhaps from Spaniards settling in Italy during periods when parts of Italy were under Spanish domination). Of course the pronunciation of Tello is different in the two languages.
No, not offensive at all.
I once received a telephone call from a fellow in San Diego whose last name is Tello. He had seen my name in the papers and thought we might be related. He informed me that the original Tello name was Spanish and then some of them moved to Italy a long, long time ago.
My name has been a source of amusement and enjoyment for years. Prior to the Ninja turtles, those who know Renaissance art were the ones who would appreciate or chuckle. Now that the Ninja turtles are more established, I receive much more laughter (and sometimes choked down laughter which I bring OUT since I enjoy the references). There's not such a thing as too much laughter in life; not in my world.
Thanks for the welcome.
