The local media referred to one outdoor rifle range here as a potential "terrorist training facility". I'm surprised that wasn't worked in here.

It was clearly inferred!

But many schools also provide civilians with training that would seem to have few, if any, applications in everyday life.

While I am pretty sure this reporter can easily repeat the falsity that "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter", I guess the reporter doesn't know what the word "militia" means, and especially the difference between defensive use of firearms and offensive use.

Even worse, such people do not even acknowledge that evil even exists, let alone that those who are on the side of evil must be stopped, even if this means that deadly force must be used.

Around the country, at least 16 privately run schools teach civilian students skills usually associated with SWAT teams or military combat -- close-in gunfighting, assault-rifle tactics, sniper shooting

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a Free State.." the founding fathers would be proud.

Except they'd wonder why they aren't 16 hundred or 16 thousand. Even 16,000 would only be less than 1 per 6,000 males ages 15 to 65. 1 per 12,000 persons of that typical militia eligible age range. (There are about 200 million people of those ages in the US))
