Agreed, agreed, and agreed. That does not mean, however, that Jimmy Carter is taking money from Osama bin Laden.
To call Jimmy Carter scum would be to insult scum, which after all cannot help being slimy and disgusting. But when I attack my political enemies, I prefer to do so with true allegations. Hurling bogus claims like the one hurled here does nothing but harm one's own credibility. Especially when the accusation is one which can so easily be reversed, as by pointing out the close ties the bin Ladens have with politicians other than Carter. If you claim that having connections with the bin Laden family involves being in Osama's pocket, you've just smeared a lot of your allies.
Now I'm interested. Tell me more about good and bad bin Ladens. Like, how do they feel about each other and how they intend to back up their opinions of one another?
