The conservative politics of the Bush administration forced me to have an abortion I didn't want. Well, not literally, but let me explain.
I am a 42-year-old happily married mother of two elementary-schoolers. My husband and I both work, and like many couples, we're starved for time together. One Thursday evening this past March, we managed to snag some rare couple time and, in a sudden rush of passion, I failed to insert my diaphragm.

"I think this lawyer is trying to make a case for having the morning after pill made legal."
Um....it already IS legal.
Such irresponsible fools squeal that they don't want the government in their bed rooms, but prove by their testimony that they need an adult present in their bedroom, full time, just to hose them down to cool their chihuahua passions long enough for them to remember to insert their diaphram or whatever.
These bastards and bastardettes actually believe their five minutes of passion is worth an innocent bystander dying for.
It really doesn't pass the smell test for me. I really don't buy it. I think this bi*ch (or someone) totally made the story up.
Apparently 'Rat lawyer/columnists and their spouses are no better than rutting animals in heat. But then again, being a Democrat/Socialist is all about how it feels, not what is correct or logical.
Okay, that I can see. I agree she might well be "campaigning" for that. Still, there are other steps she could have taken to get the morning-after pill, and she did not do so. She didn't "want" to call other doctors, but a woman who wanted the m.a.p. and truly felt she might need it would not have stopped dialing.
"This is one loony female. She needs to have kids about as much as I need to own a Boeing 747."
You could at least sell a 747 for scrap.
I know that sounds stupid but I've been up all night and I'm tired and I'm gonna post it anyway.
Actually, it does. IT makes the uterine environment hostile to the implantation of an already fertilized and developing embryo.
She is shocked that some physician have morals?

I think the despicable writer of this made up crap wants to force every doctor and pharmacist to carry/subscribe the morning after pill. Right now, large numbers do not because of moral/religious issues. Read between the lines, disgusting.
Socialists, Feminists have convinced a sizeable percentage of the populace that they have no personal responsibility for their own lives. It is always someone else's fault. GW is the Conservative "Bogey Man" to the Progressives and Liberals. They are like children in their mentality wanting Nanny Government to take care of them. Nuts to that crap.
I want less Government not more Government. And as for Bush being a Conservative like Ronald Regan. Government has grown, Spending is out of Control, and we are about to grant Blanket Amnesty to millions of Illegal Aliens thumbing their noses at our laws. We are in fact rewarding Law Breakers. This is not Conservativism. Sorry no pass from me on this one. I am mad as Hell about this and the GOP caving into the
Reconquista Movement.
Thanks for selling us out. Wait it gets better. How many Illegal Alien Lawbreakers are going to qualify for the Earned Income Credit? I predict 700 Billion minimum will be shelled out to reward the Law Breakers who see the Southern US as Mexican property. Thanks GOP for selling out America. Go ahead Wave the Flag while you betray us.
Thread hijacked by the "requonistas". This rant on Bush serves what purpose re this discussion??
Are you that woman lawyer living in Va that has the standing appointment at the salon once a week and only shops at Neiman's? Dana, is that you, lol? How'd the abortion go?
I should have maybe prefaced that 747 remark with something like this:
"She apparently is as qualified to raise kids as I am to fly a 747."
:)
Sleep tight.
Birth control when she's married?? Okay I understand not wanting to have children with two working people BUT I can't see having an abortion when you're married. Sheesh.
we feel we don't get enough time to spend with them as it is.
** It is always about FEELINGS with liberals.
That is another thing this woman has a problem with - inconvienced by everything and blaming in on the Bush Administration. She is so full of herself, just another one of the I, I, I, or me, me, me crowd.
These things are so private --- that she writes a story about it in a wide-circulation newspaper!
Note that she is a lawyer. It is not as if she can't afford a child.
This pregnancy is not Bush's fault. It is amazing to me how ignorant lawyers are about science, particularly biology.
If this woman is so much in favor of abortion, why does she get so disturbed when she actually impliments the "right" she has supported all these years?
Where was the sperm-doner in this decision? She never even mentions consulting with him.
Thank our government K-12 schools and our Marxist-lite universities and colleges. It is long past time that we destroyed both by withdrawing students and money.
It already is legal. She (or whatever group actually put this bunch of mess together) wants it available over the counter, so teens can easily get it when desired.
Her husband was the sperm donor. I'm willing to bet he's one of those who let's the wife wear the pants in the family.
