I own a business too, and I typically employ single dads of young kids. The mentoring isn't quite the same as what you're dealing with, but from time to time I have to put on a counselor's hat.

Thanks. It's tremendously rewarding. Plus I like the fact that, while my efforts may, in the grand scheme of things, be infinitesimal, I could check out tomorrow and the world would be a slight bit better for me having been in it.
