The fact media people are being targeted tells me terrorist spies have penetrated our military at the highest levels. If I was running the show I'd be having a serious internal traitor hunt.
That doesn't follow at all. The media often uses local "talent" for the support crews, cameramen, sound-men etc. Even though this CBS team didn't seem to (possibly because they were embedded) More likely the terrorists have infiltrated the media, as little as that might seem to be necessary. They also certainly have their own "embeds" within the Iraqi military. It's also possible that their were Iraqi military in the convoy as well, so any terrorists back at the base of the Iraqis could also have provided the targeting information.
Still it's possible that the support staff, some locals some from 3rd countries, at the American's base is providing the information.
It's obvious they are in Washington D.C. , & in the Drive-by Media.....
I'd guess there are some in the military too.
Using "contrarian-think," this is exactly the strategy I'd use if I was a terrorist. Hitting media people guarantees very high-profile anti-war Western news coverage. This strategy exploits another Western vulnerability and puts more pressure on the Administration.

Prayers, respect and hope for all who were injured in the attack, but I somewhat disagree.
Terrorists attacking the very media which is day after day, obediently spreading (the terrorists') message via their reporting, is akin to "friendly fire".
This might work against the terrorists. If journalists have even one bit of humanity and patriotism.
