All of this in the article was repeated when the Mohammad cartoons were published. If we do not learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. I guess this holds true for Muslims too.

Reminiscent of the way the English "smart set" responded to Hitler in the mid 1930s. They saw his nation as victims of the Versailles Treaty, thus justifying his barbarity against neighboring countries.
