Feces slinging is all this is.

What really got me was the timing for the release of this particular story, which was right at the beginning of a long weekend for a holiday honoring our Troops. Starting yesterday (Fri.) it was *wham* on every TV channel, radio station, paper, etc. Everywhere. A concerted effort to publicly pi$$ on our troops, nothing more nothing less. They'll probably holler about this throughout the entire holiday weekend along with whatever else they can cue up that's similar. I remember on one channel, they did mention some sort of organization called "Hammurabi Civil Rights League" or some such name (didn't get the exact org name and spelling - sorry) that was pushing this. A likely front organization for Saddam's butt kissers, the Al Queda, et al.

The enemy never sleeps.

I actually looked at it as a clever effort by the military to get some of the worst of this out on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend, when most people aren't paying attention to the news.

I suspect the actual report will not be as bad as leaked reports, not good, but not as bad as the MSM would like.

Marine officials briefed members of House Armed Services about 10 days ago. In turn Murtha and Duncan Hunter held news conferences. Hunter didn't say much and Murtha did.

I said it when I first heard about the Marine briefing that someone is trying to soften the blow and I still feel that way. I believe the Commandant is in Iraq right now talking to the troops.

The timing is being driven by the fact there are two investigations going on, and both will be released in the coming days.

I think people are forgetting the impact that My Lai had on the military and the country as a whole. And, it wasn't just the massacre, it was the cover-up. If this goes higher than the Bn CO who has already been relieved, this will have a big impact too.

"The enemy never sleeps."
You got that right. And we cannot expect them to. The L/MSM and their head masters must continue their agendas as required. But that will not detract millions of decent Americans from keeping our brave heros in mind this holiday period. Giving honor where honor and respect are due.
