That's what gets me, she was FOLLOWING **FLORIDA** LAW. It was not party politics. It was not 'business as usual'. It had everything to do with her ethics and courage in the face of great orchestrated withering personal opposition.
What more does any conservative voter need to see?
re: Toomey -- now there's another lesson for us FL voters; we also see what happens to those precious senate votes when a true conservative (one able to withstand pressure) is opposed by other elements (let's call it the RINO party) and does NOT get in. That's a ponderous sentence, I apologize, but this is irritating stuff.
She was following the law. But she wasa under tremendous pressure and threats not to do so. But she hung tough and perservered.
And Harris WAS opposed by the Administration I recall in the recent Senate race. They WANTED Martinez in - I wonder why? (sarcasm).
And now the Bush Administration has apparently thrown her to the wolves - maybe she appears too coonservative for them.
