Get over it already... Sheesh
What puzzles me is --
Did the review see the movie? If not, how can he write such stuff? If so, does the review think he is mature enough to see the movie but the rest of us aren't?
Am I wrong to think such things?
You are right of course in all you said but for me the best course is to ignore both book and movie. All the hoopla has only served to put money in the pockets of those who delight in sneering at God and any who believe.
"It's just a movie" to those who don't understand.
There is a war going on here, for the hearts and minds of innocents. Lies, in any form, are not entertainment.
Propoganda needs to be consistently battled lest it become accepted as fact. Josef Goebells knew that well.....
Never get over it.
So, should we all have seen 'Farenheit 2000'?
And if we haven't, are we precluded from making judgements?
For those who came in late, here is the Gospel of Jesus Christ: "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. That whomsoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." That is it. That is all. All the rest is commentary.
It is easier for people to believe that Jesus was God's son if they believe He was born of a Virgin. But it is not necessary for the Gospel to be true, because we don't get to tell God how He does his begetting. Whether or not Jesus married and had children is also irrelevant to the Gospel. In fact, since one of the first things God told Adam and Eve was to "be fruitful and multiply", it would not be so strange if He said the same to his Son. But this idea does seem to offend a large group of people who make there living telling other people what to think about movies, and books.
excellent response!
To say Jesus is not divine makes Him and the Gospel a liar.
"That is it. That is all."
If that was all, then that would have, indeed, have been all.
It wasn't.
The scripture says man must live by "every word which proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
That is more than John 3:16.
Didn't God know that this movie was going to be produced? Why didn't He stop it, if it is so horrible?
Hitler?
Osama?
Stupid questions?
But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. - 2 Timothy 2:23
Do you have an answer why?
Well.. if you are being serious, then of course I have the answer.
Are you?
Lies, in any form, are not entertainment.
Well then, you must not watch television, see movies, read newspapers or most novels.
Yes. Can you give an answer that does not include scripture quotes?
Let us say, lies presented as fact intended to deceive, are not mere entertainment.
Mr. Brown has stated his "non-fiction" novel is based on fact.
It is not.
I see.
I didn't think you were serious.
So what entertainment does not contain inaccuracies (deliberate or not)???
I see.
You are unable to.
