More than that, it was a call for performance over safety. Superficially- for sports cars over SUVs. F16s over 747s.

Excellent choices, and plenty of irony in that such artists rarely translate their own values into politics correctly. They're all libs!

I say that Michael Moore killed "Wouldn't it be nice" when he put it at the end of Roger and Me. Same way he killed "The Roof is on Fire" in Farenheit.

Totally disagree. WIBN is a brilliant opening song on a brilliant album (Pet Sounds). The song perfectly captures teen optimism about love and marriage. The pessimism and disillusionment of the album's closing song (Caroline No) offers a reality check.
