OK. It's fiction. It's made it's debut and the whole of Christianity hasn't collapsed. In fact, some people seeing it have said their faith is even stronger.

"Christianity hasn't collapsed. In fact, some people seeing it have said their faith is even stronger."

I find a lot of people (including myself at one point) are just looking for an excuse not to believe. The rehashing of this forgotten heresy provides them a new source of excuses.

Maybe we should all go out and burn American flags, it'll make our patriotism stronger!

You're supposed to capitalize "FICTION" so you can irritate the folks who get tired of being reminded that it's fiction.

Others have said that before the movie they believed it was just fiction but afterward said that Jesus probably did marry and has descendants.

That Christendom hasn't collapsed a week after the release is a pretty weak argument.

Take a look at what is happening in Europe without God in the lives of the nations and you can have a pretty good idea where "Christendom" may be heading. Junk like this piece of "fiction" don't serve as a demolition device. They chip away at the foundation until one day, a stunned people are picking through the debris wondering what happened.

But hey, you're in good company. The leaders of the EU who insisted that 1500 years of Christian influence not be mentioned in the preamble of the EU Constitution would completely agree with you. They are also the ones now raising the alarum of serious demographic troubles.
