Dobbs has been one of the few folks in the national media that has done an excellent job of informing the American people about the costs and problems with illegal immigration. His message has been consistent and he's worked hard to keep the spotlight on some of these sleazeball Congressmen as they scurry about looking to sell us out to the open border / N. American Union forces.
Through his efforts, we've been informed on Bush's plan to help illegal Mexicans receive Social Security, attempts to outsource more jobs to India as well as increasing the # of H1B visas for their engineers costing the jobs of more US workers as well as Bush's "all hat & no cattle" plans to beef up border security over the past few years.
The upshot to all this is that we're seeing history repeat itself as another limp Bush presidency delivers the highest office office in the land to the Democrats.....like it or not that's quite likely to be the case.
Dobbs is a sensationalist for the Dems. Pure and simple. Nothing else needs to be said.
You are absolutely right. I'm surprised that CNN hasn't fired him. He is the only commentator who night after night presents the truth about the illegal immigration problems.
I see Bill O'Riley use a lot of Rush's talking points, also. Lets hope!
"...they may as well not exist for the purpose of anything but whining."
LOL
Good one...
Well thanks for clarifying your position.
:)
How many illegals does it take to pick a head of lettuce?
Very enlightening and very thoughtful
Very true.... But, I heard him say that he didn't want anyone, deported. Now, what do you do with them....?
Your contributions to the discussion are invaluable
Our representatives are out of touch with the American People, since this is a Republic and not a Democracy they are taking our votes and governing according to their drummer, not ours, and it's prefectly legal.
I understand your points, but it's not a "one issue" Presidency...and it's malicous to assert the POTUS cares not for working people in this country or this issue.
To much sensationalism is being passed around on these immigration threads.
Long has immigration been a problem for this country, and until Fox and Mexico cleans up their act...despite what "we" do, it will continue to be a problem.
Your "assertion" that Bush's Presidency is lame is a kneejerk reaction to the alarmism on this single issue.
The Bush Presidency has...given us Tax Cuts, which I have benefited from, and have incentivized corporated and small business growth, and is largely why the nation currently has the lowest unemployment rate it has seen in a long, long, time. Also, 12 quarters of GDP growth. Has taken direct action against the enemies of this republic by invading tyrannical countries that harbor our enemies.
And on, an on, an on...
So, the narrowmindedness of many is obscuring the facts and allowing the contemptible a foothold and hope in the November elections.
Thanks,
In Hoc.
NAFTA was supposed to have stopped this massive illegal immigration invasion. NAFTA is a disaster to our country.
So did I but don't tell anyone else on this thread..they are suddenly in love with the him and Blame America first CNN.
NAFTA did result in additional jobs in mexico. It's frightening to consider without it the immigration problem would probably be even worse.
In this country there are two ways to increase the wealth of the lower quintiles of workers. You can transfer wealth by stealing it (euphemistically referred to as redistribution) from those who create it to those who don't or, you can increase worker productivity.
"Whoever claims the right to redistribute the wealth produced by others is claiming the right to treat human beings as chattel." -- Ayn Rand
When the rich get richer they invest their money which provides the capital necessary to innovate and create the technology that increases productivity. Increased productivity raises our standard of living.
Without Productivity, there wouldn't be any economics, or any economic thinking, good or bad, or any pizza, or anything else. We would sit around and stare at rocks, and maybe later have some for dinner. ... Wealth is based on productivity, and productivity is expandable. In fact, productivity is fabulously expandable."-- P.J. O'Rourke
If you want to get rich and/or stay that way, or if you want your kids or other loved ones to do so, you'd damn well better stand up for everyone else's right to do so too." -- Rick Gaber
Eighty percent of the bottom twenty percent of earners in this country move into the next quintile, or higher, every decade. This incredible mobility is why our economy is able to absorb large population increases and still deliver solid GDP growth, job growth, income growth and increased household net worth. When the rich get richer the poor also increase their wealth.
You're using a socialist professor from a socialist university to sell class warfare on a conservative forum. So which of these do you support, Kabar? Are you in favor of stealing wealth from others or are you for increasing productivity?
What makes you think they'll be picking lettuce once they fully realize how well they can live off the public dole?
What makes these farmers think that they will be able to continue paying under-the-table wages once these people become legal?
This whole thing is extremely short-sighted.
