We saw the movie last night and both enjoyed it quite well.

We both read the book and thought it was "okay". We probably would have skipped the movie and waited for it to come out on DVD but the choices were limited and what the heck...we usually enjoy Hanks.

As for being boring...I don't know what movies those people saw. We both pretty much compare it to "Sahara" and "National Treasure" in genre and entertainment value. Well worth going to see on the big screen and adding to the home library when it comes on sale.

We were both a little disappointed in that we didn't come out of the theater with an overwhelming desire to dance naked in the moonlight, do strange things to little animals or drive by her Priest's house, ring his doorbell and run.
