This backs up an excellent comment I have read elsewhere on these threads: To wit, Bush has never seen the real Mexico, with all it's corruption, violence and dysfunction. Only ruling-class family friends and salt-of-the earth servants. He really does not fathom what Mexico is actually like.
So Attorney Gen. Gonzales has illegal relatives, and the President hired a "non-citizen" to baby sit his twins. Isn't that special....
He's probably also unware that 29% of all inmates in our federal prisons are illegal aliens, or that the same percentage of illegals are on welfare, or that 95% of warrants for murder in L.A. are for illegals, or that the third-worlders are bringing their third-world diseases with them.
All the Country Clubbers know is that the people who mow their lawns, cook their food, and clean their homes are nice, hardworking people. .....which of course they are.

The ones who do know are the illegals flooding over our borders. I guess that should give us some idea - Mexico sucks as a country or they wouldn't be leaving it in droves. (I don't care if they come - they just need to come legally.)
His sister-in-law is from Mexico.
Perhaps he does fathom what Mexico is actually like and perhaps that is why he does have a "heart" when it comes to those Mexicans who are good, honorable people, who are trying to find a better home and way of life for their families. And no (for those with their flame-throwers at the ready, this does not mean I condone nor support illegal aliens.
