No life is never perfect. That's no reason to selfishly start out a child's life with strikes against the odds of it ever being.
If women waited for Mr. Right, not only would they get more out of life, there children would as well. A lot marry without waiting, and wind up divorced, others go ahead and have children without ever marrying. Neither situation is starting out as ideal for a child.
Granted a lot of times, the best made plans don't work out, but at least the basic plan was right. And if both are committed it does work out.
