The kind of people who would've been at the stakes with torches are still with us. Always will be. We are fortunate to live in a country where marshmallowing humans on the stake is outlawed.

Yes, we are. Considering your hatred of the Catholic Church and your absolute belief in lies and paranoid fantasies about it, bigots like you would be first line to torch a few papists.

My. my. Getting a little personal, aren't we...

Actually, I have no ax to grind with the Catholic Church - was just reminding folk of the history of the church and it's followers.

My ancestors, on the other hand, were among those hunted for burning, because they owned a Bible and believed God gave man a right to follow the Jesus they read about in the Bible. They didn't seek to slaughter Catholics, they simply fought to be free to worship as they believed without fear of being crispy crittered for it.
