"I m not worried one wit about their souls. They deserve to rot in hell."

Oh, my! Jesus would not approve of your judgment, I'm pretty sure. Based on his own words, you have pretty much guaranteed a judgment on yourself, if you believe in that sort of thing at all.

All this fuss over a stupid movie. My goodness!

Nothing like blind hatred to obscure the truth.

No response to my analogy?

SW TPM had 63% positive reviews, plus was part of a series that included some of the biggest blockbusters and most beloved films ever.

No one can seriously doubt that THE DA VINCI CODE will be a hit, but it's hard to see it having legs, becoming a beloved classic, or even being fondly remembered a year from now. DVDs sell big for good movies that people want to see over and over. THE DA VINCI CODE's cult following might give it decent, solid DVD sales, but I don't see it as a blockbuster hit on disc.

TPM sucked! You are the only one I know who chooses which DVD to buy based upon reviews only at Rotten Tomatoes.

Catholics were the FIRST Christians. Your church was merely a breakaway. Take your Catholic bashing back to DU.

When did I say I do that? I buy DVDs of movies I like, and can watch more than once. I've got a pretty good collection, too!

This is the first post of yours in this thread in which you didn't post the review percentage at the rotton tomatoes site.

If the 78 mill gross for first weekend is accurate than it doesnt need to have much in the way of legs, it has already walked a great deal down the road to commercial success.

Given the staggering amount spent on marketing, I have to believe $78MM could be a disappointing figure. Just a hunch.

78 mil in three days is a staggering profit.

Pommes Bleues? The phenomenon that occurs every year at midday at Rennes Le Chateau on January 17th (I believe that's the date -- been a long time since I've indulged in this stuff ...) ... those Blue Apples?

"And that's what they predicted about King Kong too ... and it turned out to be the biggest selling one day on DVD ever."

King Kong, whose US box office gross was $11 million more then it's production budget, had been preordered for months....It belongs in everyone's library since the second half has to be watched over and over...Like Return of the King.

The Da Vinci Code adaptation is a netflix candidate for those who will ignore it while it is in the theaters. They'll watch it once for a couple of dollars but they dont want to own it.

And by the way, who's "They" ?

I have had this statement made to me by numerous people including my Methodist minister about my father and his catholicism. Catholicism is not necessarilly christianity. As a matter of fact, a film was brought into the Methodist church condemning the Catholic Church and Mormon Temples as being a cult.

I have since stopped attending all churches. I am a christian, but all churches are headed up by imperfect human beings who make mistakes. I can pray in my home. And my actions show the kind of person I am.

Believe what you must, but ALL churches, etc, are money making businesses who have the bottom line at heart, MONEY.

Cardinal Roger Mahoney is infavor of illegal immigration for one thing Job security and the furthering of his career and housing, all tax free, and all paid for by members of the church.

I can't decide if your posts stem from fear, rage, or pomposity. doesn't matter - I'll skip them henceforth

Rage. Outrageous are your delusional, Brown-worshipping, Holy Blood, Holy Grail-believing, Catholic-bashing posts, and I won't be skipping them.

I can't see who would be interested in watching a long boring fictionalized account of the Gospel.

Here's one guess: People who can't face the idea that they are sinners in need of a Savior. They seek any solice that helps them avoid that Truth.

Cool site. I have to think that, given the marketing, they would've liked to trump THE PASSION's opening weekend. Didn't happen.

PASSION OF THE CHRIST Opening Weekend: $83,848,082

You interpret it how you like. I suspect the powers behind this movie expected more.

MM out.

I agree with his statement. In the same breath I would say, "...being Baptist does not make you a Christian... being a Protestant does not make you a Christian."

Would you agree to the modified message?
