The informant who is spurring the search for Jimmy Hoffa’s remains is an ailing prison inmate who recently passed a polygraph exam in the probe, says a government investigator who is familiar with the FBI operation in Michigan.

The informant, Donovan Wells, 75, remembers “suspicious activity” on what is now called Hidden Dreams Farm in Milford Township, Mich., at the time Hoffa disappeared, the investigator said Friday.

The investigator spoke on condition of anonymity because some of the information he was relating comes from records that have been ordered sealed by a federal judge. Among them is an FBI affidavit detailing the basis for the search warrant used to dig up the ground on the horse farm.

IMO the FBI could well be spending all this money on a more important search further down the countryside... say on the Mexican border!

And just WHAT is behind all this great search for the former AFL-CIO crime-related Honcho? After all these decades, who really cares? Well, there is at least one person who would pay decent rewards to see FINI written on the record:

Always adept at wasting US Taxpayers' monies, the US Goobermint's crack FBI strikes again, with a multi-million dollar hunt for a guy's remains, which'll never be found. IMO.

Spend that money building a real fence on mexico's border, geniuses!

JFK and RFK were doing Marylyn Monroe "rotiserie-style" until she got that lethal supposistory. How 'bout them apples?

"...who recently passed a polygraph exam..."

This part is a big so-what. Polys are unreliable unless given to an inexperienced subject by a good examiner, and even then, if the guy *thought* he was telling the truth, but was wrong, he would pass.

Well, last year we found out who 'Deep Throat' was. How about another mystery solved?

Teddy and Chris Dodd carried on the tradition and still inflict their values on America from the Senate.

Absolutely Grendel9! What a waste of our money.

If the goal is to find evidence to convict someone of his murder, save the time, money and effort and just arrest any Teamster leader. Your chances of arresting someone guilty of a major crime would be excellent.

" New leads surface in disappearance of former MOB boss Jimmy Hoffa ..."

Although the newsbabe probably doesn't know it, she was probably more right than wrong. ;-)

DUH! We know that!
The question is WHY?
They never found
Jack the Ripper either,
but they finally stopped
looking! Wasting a lot
of money on such a moot
question as to WHERE his
body is/WHO did him in
is ridiculous.

Every reporter on the beat
today is not only too young
to remember Hoffa's cronyism
with Crime, they are also
too incapable of searching
the files to give a valid
rundown. Then add to that
the fact that every news
item is allotted approximately
55 seconds' coverage, and
we get innocuous reporting.
