I wonder how many here will jump on the McCain bandwagon during election time.

"I wonder how many here will jump on the McCain bandwagon during election time."

That'll be a cold day in hell.

Last I checked McCain was becoming more and more of a contemptible, unprincipled, authoritarian dimwit hypocrite self-obsessed camera-whore who'll say whatever he thinks might get him elected, or at least on a Sunday news program, so you can definitely count me out...

But the real fault lies with President Bush and his patchwork of sycophants, neocons, and closet liberals who are trying to cajole and contort the GOP into an open-borders amnesty policy that's totally antithetical to the conservative principles of the rank & file.

McCain voted to extend social security benefits to illegals. What idiot in their right mind (I already answered my own question here) would support him now?

And how many of those will miss because the McCain bandwagon zig zags?

Hopefully, this puts the final nail in the coffin of Mike DeWine. It's better to flush out now Ohio's tired old Republican guard, (including the other boob, Voinovich), than to keep this boob on to do damage for six more years. It might also do wonders in effecting the thought processes of other like-minded Republican RINOs.

If he is the nominee, the vast majority. The lesser of two evils argument will prevail, McCain will be rehabilitated by "conservatives", and his sins will be forgiven.

But not by me.

McCain shouldn't even bother with the primaries now. If there was any question before, now there isn't. His votes in the senate this week will leave him finished.

I think McCain will be able to rent the "short bus" for his "Plain Talk Express" supporters this time around, and the symbolism will be very appropriate.
Lugar and Brownback need to be replaced with real Republicans the next time they come up in a primary. They are voting against the Republican Party on every major issue now, as AMD and Cargill send them their marching orders vis a vis illegals.
