And two wrongs don't make a rightDo you think you have the right to
demand that the Federal government spend money on Spanish-language signsthereby shutting out the opinion of those who dislike that kind of spending
just because you didn't get your way on other money issues?
(Don't get me wrong, I can pick dozens of programs that I'm not happy about the spending on, too. I agree with you wholeheartedly on the AIDS money, and I'm sure I agree with you on countless other issues as well... I just dislike the smug attitude you, and those who agree with you, exhibit towards people who disagree on this particular topic.)
I am hardly smug! I have been hammered to death on these threads but I am not going to back down from what I believe. My opinion sure hasn't made me many Freeper friends but I try to see things from more than one side. I do understand the fear and frustration many feel about this issue but I don't understand some of the downright cruel posts about how to fix the problem. People advocating killing immigrants makes me ashamed of some Americans. What ever happened to "Give me your tired, your poor..."? Granted, I wish they would come legally but after trying to figure out just what they entails from our government's website, I can see why it is just easier to sneak in. I will never be against someone trying to provide for their families and make a better life in America.
