I am a conservative independent at heart, not a Republican at any cost, although I often vote straight ticket. I voted three times for Mr. Bush, as Texas governor and President and respect him and the office, but disagree vehemently with his inadequate border policy. Why he "gets it" on the WOT and yet is so blind on the invasion of our borders mystifies and exasperates me and a lot of non-Freepers you will never hear from. I see the consequences on the streets every day. The last two Presidential elections hung in the balance - the country is evenly split. How many illegals do you think have to be given amnesty, and citizenship five years later, before the voting balance is permanently tipped towards the Democrats/socialism? A majority of Hispanics will vote liberal, believe me - they have a different mentality from us. I'm not a single issue voter, but if we ignore the invasion/amnesty problem, everything else is simply shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

Me too.

However, I remind myself at times, that there is NO WAY that I am aware of all the issues and potential mitigating circumstances that might effect the President's decision making. I cant possibly know more than he does about ALL the issue effecting America, so even though I disagree with him, I support him all the same.
