"Nashville, TN: In a stunning display of solidarity, an estimated 13,000 to 14,000 demonstrators for civil rights for immigrants gathered in Nashville in the largest such demonstration in recent memory. Following on the large civil rights demonstrations in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, thousands gathered in Nashville, the home state of Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist to demand civil rights for immigrants. The assembled crowd, chanting "We can do it, yes we can!" and "We are not criminals, We are not leaving, We won't Go!" marched from the Titans football stadium in East Nashville to the Legislative Plaza directly across from the State Capital building. An estimated fifty police patrolled the march but there were no reports of police misconduct or arrests. Additionally, about twenty counterprotesters gathered across the street from the rally where they were mostly ignored. The assembled crowd, which was so large that it spilled off of legislative plaza and onto surrounding streets, remained for two hours, listening to speakers and chanting, then marched back to East Nashville around 8pm. The event was organized by the Tennessee Immigrant Rights and Refugee Coalition."
So how many do you figure if 14K hit the streets and remember Nashville metro is not East LA....very little of that Che-Azatlan attitude here. Plenty of gangs and crime but not so much Mexinationalism out in the open. I live here. We have about 1.5 million metro. I would wager that at least 15% of Rutherford County is Hispanic and mostly illegal. That's 25-30,000 just right there and with 8 more counties to go. 100,000 is only 6.6%. Some groups here now argue there are more latinos than blacks even. It sure looks that way. Where are you? Do you not have this where you are. One town South of here on the outskirts of metro Nashville is Shelbyville....they are overrun. Don't have enough schools. Sorry, but I bet you there are 100K illegals in the 9 county metro Nashville area...at least. I pinged some locals...ask them
Please don't insult my intelligence you know damn well at least half of them were American citizens. That is true in every one of these demonstations schools have even been let out in many of the RAT cities.
Argue with your own statistics. You posted there were 100,000 in Tennessee. THAT I believe.
There are some estimates that upwards of 100k Hispanics reside in Davidson County, over 20%. Where I live in Antioch, it is clear that Whites are probably in 3rd place behind Blacks and Hispanics. We have had absolutely ghastly crimes that illegals have committed in Nashville, the worst being the one in the past 2 weeks where some young punk (illegal, IIRC) brutally murdered a mother and her teen daughter (whom he stabbed 3 DOZEN times). With all due respect to the President, I guess they also commit the crimes most Americans won't do. :-(
