You atta boyed Rokke for his customary dismissal of my views and I felt you deserved a courtesy ping since you has expressed interest in my exchange with Rokke ...someone with whom I have substantive disagreement.

And the very folks riding high scorched earth and high fiving one another while completely out of sync with any poll I've seen of the GOP base over dissent with Bush are almost precisely those who were ready to reject this joint over JR's Schiavo posture.

I have NO "cover" here and you know that full well.

I NEVER ventured into the Schaivo mess.

It has ALWAYS been FR's policy, to get rid of as many damned Dems, as is humanly possible and then, and ONLY then, to do what we can to weed out our own tent. The Patsies were purged, just about en masse, in 2000. So were a lot of the Libertarians. Just claiming to be a Conservative, never has "trumped" trying to help the GOP be the majority and stay there; here. I have no idea why your recollection's are distorted, but they are. And yes, the posts and threads ARE here for all the world to see.

I have condemned the president, when I thought that what he said or did was dead wrong; I have said that I agreed with him, when I have. I have blasted away at GOP Senators and Representatives and mayors and governors and praised them, when I thought they deserved the praise.

I have been on the minority side, before, and have, through time, been proven correct. Or don't you remember the days of the Lott/Frist debacle?

For the most part, I have stayed as far away, as has been humanly possible, from the ILLEGALS threads. When I have posted, it has been either historical facts, refuting claims that I employ illegals ( which I don't do, have never done, and don't agree with ), or yes, give a "well said" to a post that has stated facts/ posted something salient and/or germane. Refute that, if you are able.

Your excuse, as to the whys and wherefores of my being excoriated by you, doesn't hold true. You may now think that it does, but, no, it doesn't; it's subterfuge and merely a way to placate me...now. Let's just leave it at that........
