Have you checked the vote returns for the heavily Latino South Texas counties and precincts?? Do it whenever you're ready for a rude awakening.

The most Latino county in Texas is Starr County at 97.5% according to the Census Bureau. It's vote in 2004 was 73.60% for Kerry and 26.09% for Bush, and as we know Bush did exceptionally well among Latinos, especially in his home state of Texas, getting about twice as much of the vote as the GOP usually gets. In the 2000 election, Starr County gave Bush just 22.58% of the vote.
