Like you, I'll never forget it. I have the list of the RINOS that voted for this Trojan Horse. If I ever get a chance to talk someone out of voting for one of them, I'll make my best effort to do it.

Amnesty for illegals and the reward of social security while being allowed to make up employment, earned wages and such is ridiculous.

I get the impression this is an overvalued bargaining chip with throwaways. A Devil's bargain it I ever saw one.

I would not bargain at all, if I were to lead the House; I'd just shred it and add a few amendments to the already existing law and send a writ of mandamus to the president, calling for him to execute the law of the land.

But, then, I'm not a professional politician where the good of the my country is just one consideration in building my career.

I have a question. why did you post that picture? Is it because President Bush is with a mariachi band? Is this supposed to prove something?

Do you think all of those people pictured with the President are illegal immigrants? I don't think that is very likely. They are probably Americans of Mexican descent, like a good portion of the citizens of the southwest.

So, explain to me the significance of the picture. Is it that you don't like mariachi music? You don't like anyone who is of Mexican heritage? You don't like the President? You are incensed by sombreros?

A little clarification would be appreciated.

Ah, why shouldn't I try to divine it? It's my duty to take the measure of the man; he is the chief executive of a democratic republic, every policy of which affects me, and you.

You really have no private opinion on whether he would sign it as is? What harm if you did; you expressing you opinion on FR would hardly influence his decision.

I liked the photo myself. Maybe it's from spending so much of my childhood overseas, or my interest in different cultures...but I would have loved to been where the photo was taken to experience it.

"And while the immigration debate raged on:
TODAY - WASHINGTON - The House rejected an attempt Thursday to lift a quarter-century congressional ban on offshore oil drilling in coastal waters outside the western Gulf of Mexico amid arguments that new supplies are needed to lower energy prices."

Yep.
And you know what, Warrant?
I'm sitting here in Connecticut, with Chris Shays, "R" as my representative, who's got to be one of the worst liberals in the Republican caucus. But as the incumbent, he's essentially unopposed on the Republican side.

The Democrats have dished up a woman who's just as liberal.

And my choices for Senate? Some liberal Republican or Joe Lieberman.

It makes it really hard to get out there and cast that caucus vote, really, really hard. But when absolutely NOBODY on the ballot, on any side, represents you on much of anything, what the hell can you do?

My solution has been to vote for the liberal Republican to try and give the caucus one more seat, even though the liberal Republican sitting in it is going to do things like vote against ANWR.

Shays always runs very close, and this year he needs the vote of people like me more than ever. It's very hard.

LOL! Devine away for yourself...I'm sure your personal agenda will not cloud your findings in any way. I understand Rosanne Barr has finally conquered her anorexia now and is to be named Miss Virginia.

I'm far more fortunate. I have Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell for Senators.

I posted it because I think if we let all these illegals and their relatives in, the studies show we will get 200 million more people in and they will not love America. They will not especially hire often white or black or Asian Americans if they start businesses. They are a pretty closed society and IMO you could see them get English banned from this country eventually and it will be required we sing the Spanish American Anthem at that time in Spanish with Mariachi, thus the picture.

I see it going that way since we could get 250 million Hispanics as new citizens in the next 20 years under the Senate plans.

Here is a more excellent synopsis:

New Column: Immigration: At The Tipping Point

By David Limbaugh

Political commentators -- both right and left -- who think the outrage over the immigration crisis is a conservative fringe phenomenon are sorely out of touch. That may have been true some time ago, but the sleeping giant of American goodwill and apathy has finally been jolted out of her sleep.....

We disagree; additional comments will not alter my thoughts, change my mind, nor change the eventual dire reality unless something more than a "start" of pretending to do something about illegals happens, and happens very soon.

Amen, well we have the elephant as a mascot on the Republican party logo. That should be reflective of our memory in that we should never forget what is happening and who has participated in this thinking they were safe.

There are only a little over a hundred million people in all of Mexico.......

Sounds like statistics of the homeless in the 80's to me.

Ah...aren't we the lucky ones! Do you remember when people complained about Slate Gorton?

We sure taught those RINO's a lesson.

So you are saying we have already 25% of the entire population of Mexico here already?

Outrageous, how come we didn't have the Senate give the other 75% at home our Social Security as well?

I read it earlier, and think it's a good article.

You still haven't addressed what I said last night. If you want serious discussion, you might respond to what I said.

That has been a lesson for me—be careful what I wish for.

Now excuse me for a moment while I quietly curse King County under my breath.

I guess they must starve to death down there then, because in CA they seem to breed 6 kids to a pair.

6 kids x 17k a year each to educate = 96k
You got to love it.
