Nothing hurts an insecure person more then to be ignored.

That always reminds me of the book "The Fountainhead," where (I think) Toohey says to Roark, "I know what you think of me" and Roark says, "But I don't think of you." The first time I read that I could think of no better insult. I've used it since, too.
