I was against the prescription drug plan and the spending spree of congress/president these past years, but I like a lot of what Bush has done.

This isn't about liking or disliking Bush, to me. He's not up for re-election. The Congressfolks *are*.

This is about policies proposed, that I oppose.

This proposed policy of Mr. Presidents' is a non-starter to me. And I will not vote for any Congress Critter that votes to put it into law.

• A 'guest worker' program, like the 'H1-B' program that has been such a disaster in the high-tech field, does not get my support, period.

• There's no way I'd support immigration reform without some real crackdowns on the employers.

• It's clear they won't actually lock down the border, the temporary use of NG troops is the worst kind of pandering.

Thank you. Finally someone states this publically. The US has had a guest worker program for many years now under the false assumption there are not enough qualified Americans to do the jobs. After the dot com bust, Americans got laid off; the H1-B's didn't. Why should we trust the .gov now?
