Then Tancredo must have changed his tune or something. I heard some initial comments and he seemed to react favorably to it. Oh well. You can't expect everything all at once. That's not how the world works. This speach Bush gave is far and away better than his position the past six years on the border. I don't know how anyone can argue otherwise.
I don't see any difference in his stance other than he said he was actually going to use his executive power to put some NG on the border. Something he could have done on 9/12/01. He also could have put 4,000 new BP agents in the field since the National Security Act of '04 but he only approved 150 that I know of. Limbaugh said 1,500 today but even so that doesn't cover attrition rates. At any rate; he could have and still hasn't.
