Too bad the "thing" in question doesn't appear to recognize this. Some good people have been completely trashed for trying to avert a disaster, including more than just a few formerly well-loved conservative pundits, as well as long term FReepers.

It is what it is. For further enlightenment go talk to the White House, the RNC, the NRCC, the NRSC and assorted other traitors cluttering up our nation's capitol.
From what I can see, with last night's fiasco, Bush has lost what was left of his conservative base (and that wasn't much).
