Everyone here who threatens to sit out the next election CASTS A VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT. Everyone who threathens a third party vote VOTES FOR A DEMOCRAT. Change the republican party in the primaries, elect the congress we want and KEEP MAKING INCREMENTAL STEPS. This was an exceptional speech. Agree with you. One biggie issue the President should have added that would really have some punch is to actually DEPORT THE ILLELGALS IN OUR PRISONS - EVERY ONE OF THEM IN 90 DAY TIMELINE. This would have been a great addition..

Amen. I wish that the COnservatives that are complaining would get on board. Conservatives need to be looking at the tea leaves here. Bush doesnt need all the Republicans to get this passed in the House. The Dems will break toward the Bush plan having the "tancredo/King faction on the outside looking in when this gets passed. That would be a shame necause even though I disagree with the House bill I am not opposed to all it its ideas or all the sentiments behind it. It would be good to have as much conservative input in this bill as possible. The chances of a bill passing Congress I think is 50/50. This is a very dangerous game of political chicken when a part of the party refuses to compromise and the result might be that many of their good ideas will not be included.

Utilizing your rationale I can assume you're in favor of continued lawlessness of illegal aliens, giveaway social programs, government controlled education simply because a Republican President has forced this crap on us. You obviously think the Senate bill simply contains the Bush sales pitch in legal form. You know nothing that is in the bill or in the 400 amendments that have already been put in. Yet, based on no more than a speech, and nothing of any substance that's in the proposed law, you're so, naively confident.
