His job is not to say "I can't." His job is to execute the laws enacted by Congress and signed into law by himself or previous Presidents. Picking and choosing which laws he, the executive, is going to enforce is a dereliction of duty and malfeasance. The laws on the books right now are that those who employ illegal aliens are to be charged with a felony and appropriately punished. It also gives only one penalty for illegal immigration and that is deportation. Why does President Bush steadfastly refuse to do his job?
Let me paraphrase Bushs message:
We have to give the illegals what they want because there are too many of them, we cant get rid of them, and we cant stop them from coming in as they please.
