Isn't it high time we expressed some of our Personal Power to all those in Washington who are trying to cover-up our inconvenient demands with a bunch of band-aids that insult our intelligence?.

"Most of them went to the Constitution Party"

Most of them decided to be politically irrelevant instead of actually trying to SOLVE the problem. Seem the Perpetual Whiners think bitch bitch bitch excuses them from having to DO anything. That how we got here. Pro 187 would of gone a LONG way to preventing this mess. A Leftist Judge decides his political Liberalism was more important then the will of the Voters. Instead of doing something, the Whiners just sat back and bitched about it. Same thing here. Don't actually try to come up with any solutions. Just bitch endlessly about those who are. Mean wile, the Democrats and the Illegals laugh their butts off watching you all shoot yourselves in the foot out of childish spite. They win, you lose and NOTHING get fixed. Adults should NOT be this petulant and dumb.

Isn't it time people quit throwing these emotional hissy fits because they do not get only 100% of what they want all the time in politics? No one gets 100% of only what they want out of life. That the price of actually getting things done instead of watching nothing ever get done. The Illegals are laughing as they watch the people who supposedly care about this issue whining about any solution that does not fit their fantasy la la land dreams of an Illegal Free America.

The number of people supposedly eligible for amnesty keeps increasing.

This country could probably swallow a few million with some pain, but Heritage is speculating based on the language of the Senate Bill upwards of 50 million. This country simply CANNOT handle those numbers. That is a deal breaker RIGHT THERE. Besides which, we don't know how many we have. Shouldn't we have those numbers first? Even with current large estimates There is a huge difference between 12 million and 50 million. Nor is this all about Hispanics. What about illegal aliens from Russia? Europe? The Middle east? They can focus on Mexico all they like, but we have people from all countries abusing our laws. Are they included in the estimates too? If not, tack on more.

No, I reject amnesty and I STRONGLY urge the administration to step down from that proposal. I KNOW this is a trial balloon, and I'm giving fair warning to an administration I've supported and respect and still do EXCEPT on this issue. Do not propose guest workers. Do not propose amnesty. FOCUS on border security FIRST. Any other ideas you have will NOT be acceptable even for DISCUSSION until a) Our laws are enforced and b) you win people's trust that you are committed to respect of our borders. If you bring this up as the trial balloon suggests, I won't be trying to block the backlash. I'll be amongst the voices screaming "Hell No".

And I WILL NOT be voting GOP if this goes through. I'm not voting GOP now. I will reverse that decision if given good reason to do so. But scare tactics about Dems don't appeal to me.

As for King? We'll see if the House will back up their strong rhetoric. Their futures depend upon it.

If Peter King is serious, just have him send a couple of tractor-trailers and 50 ICE agents up to Van Cortland Park this afternoon, and ask for the Gaelic Football match.

GOP wins in November, in a landslide.

Bush sends the National Guard home in December.

Are people so stupid that they will fall for this ruse?

-

I am.

I'd fall for that one.

LOL, someone should have told that to the pro-amnesty crowd and the illegals before May 1. Their Mexican flag-waving, 'demands' for citizenship when they dont deserve it, and boycotts have backfired bigtime.

[People] do not get only 100% of what they want all the time in politics.

Give illegals Amnesty and they and the OBL get everything they want, don't they?

ME TOO ... SIGN ME UP.

I know this for a fact: A Democrat Congress will send a McCain-Kennedy bill to the President to sign... increased GOP control and we will get more like HR4437.

So if you dont want amnesty, push for GOP control of Congress, it's our only hope.

And NG is a stop-gap anyway, the real test is building more permanent barriers and having interior immigration law enforcement.

House Homeland Security Chairman Peter King (R-L.I.) said he'd fight President Bush's plan to give illegal aliens a path to citizenship.

We've finally got someone from the People's Republic of NY State fighting for us. Peter King deserves a thousand kudos for doing the right thing.

I agree that they're irrelevant now. Much like the Green Party. They left out of spite because they didn't get their entire way. Now they'll get more liberal judges once the dems take control and socialism/communism will come on full press.

Amen. I notice Rudy G is resoundingly silent on this.

It is amazing how many NYState reps are silent on this.
I think King is on our side, Reynolds is with Bush, the rest are very quiet.
