The Minutemen need to keep that guy from appearing. His screamin and sweating and hair flopping around reminded ME of Germany in the 30's, and I don't dislike the Minutemen!

I will, however, withdraw my support if Gilchrist keeps up the Third Party noise. It makes me suspicious of his real goals, especially since he just announced on Fox that he doesn't care about what the President says, he wants to see "verifiable results."

Well, fine and dandy, but even when some people are shown results, they shout that it isn't good enough, and continue ranting.

My personal position is to secure the border with a combination of troops, fences, and technological barriers, and THEN we can figure out what to do about the people already here.

Ref 491, You have great skill in evaluating situations, and you are pragmatic in your thoughts. We need to convince People that we do not want the interlopers/illegals shot at Sunrise, but that they are hurting America by putting a huge state like California further in Debt every single day. California is literally drowning under the weight of the illegals. We cannot get people to listen to us if we have nutcases that appear to be Members of the Old Nazi Party posing as Minutemen. I am sure that Tom Tancredo is mildly upset about what passes for spokesman for this group that still has hope but looks tainted right now. We have seen on some of these threads the Pat Buchanan attitude that does not want anyone coming into this Country at all,but they are getting more and more strident and they hurt the cause that so many have volunteered for and believed in. I think they can make a difference, but not with those crazies.

%%%%

When he was running for Congress - must have been a special election - ? Duke Cunningham's seat, perhaps? - he was interviewed on Hugh Hewitt's show. He had no opinion, or a very minimal opinion on many issues that should be important to a Congressman. I respect his energy and his desire to get some sanity along our Southern border, but he is much too much a single issue zealot to be a good spokesman for Republicans in general.
