Miss Marple, I feel that republicans can hold PBS & NPR to account from being too partisan, by threatening with funding. Why govt. subsidising at all?
I wish the pulic radio and tv stations would be held to a standard of impartiality, but every time there is a threat of withholding funds, PBS drags out Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, This Old House, and the Boston Pops and acts like the PBS critics are a bunch of meenies.
