If the Senate version of the immigration bill passes and is signed into law, we could have 30-50 million illegal aliens becoming U.S. citizens. It would totally erase the border between US and Mexico and turn us into a Third-World country. I would say the country's pretty much over if that happens.

Newt is now asking us to drink the Koolaid. If he thinks that we can get 12 to 20 million people to go home and then come back, including setting up the massive bureaucracy to administer such a system, he is nuts.

I don't agree with you at all. The Senate version was an abomnination, and I don't think you will see much of it in the final bill.

Even so, I don't agree with your forecast even if it was passed.

Remember, we are now a nation of 300 million with a zero percent population growth without immigration. Thank goodness our immigration pool is Mexican Catholics and not Middle Eastern Muslims.

It won't pass as is .. which is why Harry Reid objected and blocked all but the 3 amendments he liked from being voted on the last time

Also ... The Senate Bill needs major improvements or the House will laugh at it and it will not pass

I just read on another thread the frosty reception the MM rceived when they visited McCain's office Friday. His staff demanded they leave and threatened to call Capital Police if they didn't.

They didn't get that bad a reception from Feinstein or Hagel's office. At least at Hagel's they said they had the opportunity to sign the guest book and write a long note telling why they were against his particular immigration bill.
