Well one of the articles posted here did mention some had "gone home" as a result of ICE raid rumors. Point is, they get scarce. If it's tough everywhere, they'll get real scarce.

Now, I'd wager provided the border was secure, most would approve of a guest worker program that allowed only the worker for a specified time.
