I have a serious question. If the guest worker program is amnesty, then what do you want the President to do?

It seems to me that what you want is all of those people GONE. Perhaps I am reading your post wrong, but if all of those were legals, would you be happy?

I am trying to understand what people want. I am not being clever or trying to bait you, but I seriously don't know.

So, please explain to me what you think should be done.

I want the illegals that are here to live off our social services system gone, yes. If they could actually pass a guest worker program and guarantee they could make it work -- i.e. the people come here to work and then return off season to their homes in Mexico, that would be great. Do I believe the sharp increase in young children coming across the border -- many by themselves -- and young, pregnant women has anything to do with a guest worker program? No, I don't.

I realize many find my attitude to be emotional and it is... I see all around me what has happened to the part of the country I call home because of the millions pouring through our state and I do get emotional over the subject.

If we stop the flood of illegals, enforce the laws on employment of illegals and don't grant a blanket amnesty the problem will diminish over time. WE can then rationally and reasonable decide, who we want to stay and who should leave. It's all just balloon juice till we stop the bleeding at the border.
