I support Israel and their need for the fence, but keep in mind, the total length of the Israeli fence is only a couple hundred miles. Also, the Israelis are willing to kill people sneaking across the border because they are doing so to kill innocent Israelis. We can kid ourselves all we want but Americans won't have the stomach to kill people who for the most part are looking for work.

It is also costing them in the neighborhood of 3 - 3.5 million dollars per mile. If we met that cost it would be $7 billion dollars just to build it let alone staff it and maintain it. Do we then build one to cover the Canadian border? Are we going to mine or beaches as well when the wall doesn't keep everyone out?
