This is a great thing but with the congress we have now they would take a fair tax bill like boortz and linder have designed and rip it to shreds if they ever did take a serious look at it. Which I seriously doubt will ever happen. Too many entrenched a-holes feeding at the trough of a huge bureaucracy.

Yeah - so we'll all just not let our voices be heard in DC or letters to the editor to get people educated on the Fair Tax, or email people in our email addresses to alert them, Or hound our friendly media to keep them on it because they know we're for it - etc ec.

Let's just sit back and twiddle or thumbs and then when it doesn't go thru ' blast everyone else.

Yep, that'll work...

I'd be the first to cheer the abolition of the IRS. But back here on earth those of us who have watched spending go out of control along with the accompanying growth in government know that once enacted Fair Tax will be implemented ALONGSIDE of the present code.

Oh by the way kiss all of those deductions goodbye because they will be gone under Fair Tax. If you think this is whimsy look at any chart on the growth of federal spending then try to tell me seriously and soberly that the feds are going to turn their noses up at yet another trough?

Instead of Fair Tax how about an immediate 20 percent reduction of the federal budget? I can think of a whole slew of agencies that need to be closed to help that along.

I know someone is going to feed me the bait on Fair Tax. Let me gently remind everyone that is a proposal and far from reality. Refer to RICO if you want to see the misuse of good legislation.
