H.R.25
SEC. 2. CONGRESSIONAL FINDINGS.
(f) FINDINGS RELATING TO REPEAL OF PRESENT FEDERAL TAX SYSTEM-
Congress further finds that the 16th amendment to the United States Constitution should be repealed.
_____________________________
Did you see that word should be repealed? Big difference between end and should be ended.
H.R. 25 does not end squat! Only a constitutional amendment may remove from Congress hands particular powers of taxation.
1.
If H.R. 25 were adopted, a future Congress is not bound by it and may amend it to their liking, even to the extent of slowly re-adopting the taxes H.R. 25 suggests should be ended.
2.
Even if H.R. 25 were adopted, and its language followed to the letter, there is nothing in H.R. 25 to forbid Congress to lay and collect various excise taxes upon businesses, certain individuals and events, and calculate the amount of tax to be paid from salaries, profits, gains, and other income.
Unfortunately, Sean Hannity has joined the ranks of the uniformed when it comes to tax reform and ignores what A GREAT AMERICAN would say with regard to tax reform:
"In matters of Power, let no more be heard of confidence in men, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution"--___ Jefferson
The 16th amendment is not repealed by H.R. 25!

Johnnicakes, the Revolutionary War ended a few years ago (more that 111, I think) and we won so why do you keep tring to foist its failed tax scheme upon this country??
By George, I think I know. You're afraid of the FairTax as the law of the land since none of your "pay no income tax" and "get out of jail free" home study courses won't be salable any longer. That's a shame - really it is, but you only helped a lot of folks get into bigger trouble like your pal John Kotmair (as on this post #21 and following).
The fact that the income tax is completely obliterated by the FairTax seems to have completely escaped your notice as you babble on and on. Trying to bring it back is a fool's erand (but of course that's what you're hoping for).
