You are so right! And this is another reason why H.R. 25 is a bad idea…it is intentionally designed by its revenue neutral feature to support our existing big socialist government, and do so without any restraints upon Congress which may encourage Congress to follow sound fiscal policies as our founding fathers ORIGINAL TAX REFORM PLANdid with its direct apportioned tax to extinguish deficits should Congress borrow to pay for pork to feed porky the pig.

But there is even a more sinister reason why the friends of big government along with the friends of a socialist friendly big government dread any meaningful restraints upon Congress’ spending and borrowing habits. Let me explain!

Why is it so difficult for the people of American to not realize why there is such fighting between Republican and Democrat leaders during federal election time? Is it not obvious to all that one thing remains constant after each federal election? Those who win elections get to be in charge of who will be hired and fired from the countless political plum jobs created by our folks in Washington___ many of these jobs not being within the delegated powers granted to the federal government by the Constitution and being nothing more than a job to redistribute wealth taxed away from hard working Americans!

To get a perspective on the countless number of political plum jobs created by our folks in Washington, take a look at a 1956 telephone directory under federal government and you will find two pages of federal government offices. Look today and that two pages has exploded into a telephone directory that challenges the telephone directory size of many of America’s cities. But what is most astonishing when one realizes how large the federal government has grown, and how it now manages to meddle into almost every aspect of the people’s private lives, is to read the words of James Madison in Federalist Paper No. 45 and then compare his words to the multiple listings for federal government agencies.

"The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce. ... The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives and liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the State."

Having identified the intended functions of the federal government, intended to operate on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce, here is a current A-Z Index of U.S. Government Departments and Agencies created in that department, many of which have six figure salaries, not to mention the generous retirement pensions and medical benefits!

And what does the phrase, “political plum job“ mean on Capitol Hill? Do you have any idea how many political plum jobs have been created since 1954, and the amount of tax revenue which goes to pay the salaries and generous pension and medical benefits of those appointed to political plum jobs? Of course, the above questions do not even take into account that many of the plum jobs created are for functions not authorized by the Constitution of the United States, such as the current Department of Education public education being a state constitutionally authorized function!

And, just what are some of the plum jobs at the federal Department of Education? For a partial list see: Officials—U.S. Department of Education

And what do these "OFFICIALS" do at the Department of Education? Surprise, they pilfer money from the Department’s budget into their own pockets See: The Department of Embezzlement

The sad truth is, our federal government personifies a living creature, a predator: it grows, it multiplies, it protects itself, it feeds on those it can defeat, and does everything to expand and flourish, even at the expense of enslaving a nation’s entire population with a national debt which exceeds $50 Trillion

Indeed, the servant has become the master over those who created a servant, and the new servant pays tribute to a gangster government which ignores our most basic law…our constitutions, state and federal.

I guess, if the founders were around one thing they would say is: “He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers, to harass our people, and eat out their substance” ___Declaration of Independence

And this is why our founding fathers created the TAX REFORM PLAN they did, with its various checks and balances to control the actions of folks in government___ a tax plan which the friends of a big and socialist government dread with a passion!

Regards,

JWK___ a proud supporter of our founding fathers ORIGINAL TAX REFORM PLAN

"To lay with one hand the power of the government on the property of the citizen and with the other to bestow upon favored individuals, to aid private enterprises and build up private fortunes is none the less a robbery because it is done under forms of law and called taxation."___Savings and Loan Assc. v. Topeka,(1875).

Well, Johnnicakes, if you keep feeding Robbie's inflated ego by telling him how "right" he is (when he's actually left of you - and that's saying something), you may be able to sell him some of your tax evasion schemes. He's pretty gullible to that sort of flattery.

If not perhaps you can ingrtatiate yourself with some of the other weak-minded lovers of the Status Quo and sell them some.

IAE, your beloved "founding father's tax reform" nonsense was not tax reform at all since at thet time there wasn't a country to reform let along a tax system. And the one you hype to high heaven didn't cut it which is why it bit the dust in 1863 with the first income tax.

Your argument seems to be with the spending side of goverhment since you've made it obvious you know nothing about the tax system part of things. Go ahead and put your bill before Congress and be sure to let us know how many sponsors you get.

For that matter, let us know how many "fast and easy tax-free methods" you manage to sell Robbie and his pals ... or perhaps you like to unequivocally state that you and any colleagues are not and never have been in the Tax Protesster movement.
