Dean slams gay marriage on '700 Club'
Southern Voice ^ | May 10, 9:16 PM | JOSHUA LYNSEN

Democratic Party Chair Howard Dean has contradicted his party's platform and infuriated gay rights advocates by saying the party's platform states "marriage is between a man and a woman."

Democratic Party Chair Howard Dean, appearing on the Christian Broadcasting Network, erroneously stated that the party's 2004 platform says 'marriage is between a man and a woman.' Christian conservative Pat Robertson is host of the program.

"The Democratic Party platform from 2004 says marriage is between a man and a woman," Dean said May 10 during a "700 Club" program hosted by conservative Christian leader Pat Robertson on his Christian Broadcasting Network.

That statement contradicts the Democratic National Committee's official stance, which was adopted in 2004.

"We support full inclusion of gay and lesbian families in the life of our nation and seek equal responsibilities, benefits, and protections for these families," the platform says.

Within hours of the program's broadcast, the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force denounced Dean's misrepresentation.

"Disturbingly, this is not the first time he has misrepresented this important and affirming plank [of the Democratic Party platform], and he has been asked before to correct the record and to cease making these misleading statements," said Matt Foreman, executive director of the Task Force.

"Governor Dean's record on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues since becoming DNC chair has been sorely and sadly lacking," Foreman said. "The Democratic Party chair should stand by and fight for the party's own platform and values."

The Democrat Party should just rename themselves to the Gay Party.

That will infuriate those who want it re-named "The Abortion Party."

That would be Pat Robertson. Paul Crouch does a show with his bizarre, pink haired wife on Praise The Lord.

I think Dean, along with other Democrats, realize that they must give up something if the hope to get elected in 2006 and 2008.

Well, I sure hope it ain't perversion. After all, where will the perverts go if the Democrats don't represent them?

Shalom.

I know. That's my point. Dean needs all the goofy exposure he can get.

I never thought I would see the sentence " Howard Dean, appearing on the Christian Broadcasting Network,''". Bizarre.

What's next??

Howard Dean writes an article in the National Review on illegal immigration & it's affects on transgendered-lesbian-gays and there pets.

;-)

The Democrats (and for that matter the Left in general) need high-functioning psychopaths to get out their message and survive. Bill Clinton was one of these. A liar so pathological that he actually believed what he was saying in the morning, and then believed the opposite when he was saying that later the same day, Clinton represents the ideal Democrat to the leaders of that party. He was also clever and extremely quick on his feet, able to fashion seemingly irrefutable arguments for a soundbite that would crumble to dust after a few minutes thought or a little research (but just right for 51% of the population who can be counted on to do neither).

Dean is a psychopath, which is good for the Democrats, but he is not very smart and lies with the skills of an eight-year-old, which is not so good for the Democrats. He is also seething with poorly-hidden rage (this apparantly has something to do with his relationship with his father) which is picked up subliminally by many voters, giving rise to queasy feelings within their otherwise Democrat-oriented breasts.

Hillary, unfortunately for the Democrats, is not a psychopath. She's just a hard-line Communist, with only slightly more subtlety than Khruschev banging his shoe on the table. The Communists and commie-wannabes who constitute the political energy source of the Democrat party love her, but Joe Sixpack reaches for the remote.

"His comments won't win over Christian conservatives."

Whaddaya mean? This is the man who proudly declared that Job was his favorite book of the New Testiment. Christian Conservatives have got to relate to that...right? ....right?

To: tlb; All

sure the DNC supports homosexual marriage unless they don't support it.

IT is TOTAL manure. The Democrat party supports the "civil union" shell game to create fake marriage without the "m" word.

If Dean was REALLY serious he would say the Democrat Party supports the Federal Marriage Amendment.

This is a dog and pony show to propaganda the democrats into APPEARING religious.

THIS STORY IS A TOTAL SET UP BY DEMOCRATS AND DON"T BELIEVE ANY OF THE "OUTRAGE" FOR A NANO-SECOND.

The is a good cop/bad cop PR game.

They are trying to fool religious people because Dean is stupid enough to believe opposition to homosexuals is based on only religion.

fools.

fake fake fake.

This is like kerry's non-support support of marriage

(but he wants to give homosexuals special legal rights anyways)

Democratic Party Chair Howard Dean and the Deodorant

Democratic Party Chair Howard Dean walks into a drugstore and asks the pharmacist for some bottom deodorant. The pharmacist, a little bemused, explains to Howard that they don't sell anything called bottom deodorant, and never have. Unfazed, the Mr. Dean assures him that he has been buying the stuff from this store on a regular basis, and would like some more. ''I'm sorry,'' says the pharmacist, ''we don't have any.''

''But I always get it here,'' screams the Deaniac.

''Do you have the container it comes in?''

''Yes!'' yells Howie, ''I will go and get it.''

He returns with the container and hands it to the pharmacist, who looks at it and says to him, ''This is just a normal stick of underarm deodorant.''

The annoyed Democratic Party Chair snatches the container back and reads out loud from the container: ''To apply, push up bottom.''

This is a dog and pony show to propaganda the democrats into APPEARING religious.

Just as all liberal Bible rejecters do in America.

Does Bill Clinton and Paul Begala gushing over his big stage-prop Bible ring a bell?

This is all part of their strategy of deceit, intended to fool the simple minded into thinking the Democrat party does not really hate the Bible and biblical morality.

The Democrats now hope all of the religious who really want an excuse to say, "but the Democrats aren't really against the Bible" can lie to themselves using this latest round of tripe.
