Currently, being in this country illegally IS a civil misdemeanor offense - H.R. 4437 was going to change that to a felony criminal offense - see the difference?

You're talking level of offense, I'm talking impact on the country and taxpaying Americans. Your ticket won't cost me one dime but Jose and his descendants most surely will have their hands in my unborn grand kids pockets if Bush has his way. See the difference? What do you open border types have against national security and the rule of law?

Its a misdemeanor crime -for commission of first offense up to 6 months imprisonment, felony for second offense- up to 2 years imprisonment in addition to any civil fines. This has been pointed out to you before...
