I think the Mods tried to smother it initially but then realized that this animal has too many voices to be silenced. The initial thread is back up again too.

The best way for Rove to save the next election for the Republicans is to get Bush to step down, have Cheney clamp down on the border (fence, etc.), and start rounding up illegal aliens.
Otherwise, the GOP will go the way of the Democratic Party in the South.
I wonder if the Bush family is considering switching sides to the Democratic party to maintain their attempted dynasty?

U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"
Invasion: \In*va"sion\, n. [L. invasio: cf. F. invasion. See Invade.] [1913 Webster]
1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.

the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrantsNo matter how many times I read that part, I'm just as astounded and angry as the first time I did. Unfreakin' believable.

Is it the beginning of our Balkanization? Unfortunately I believe that the Balkanization of America began a few weeks ago when the shutting down of some of major cities by illegal foreign nationals was actually cheered on and encouraged by our president and members of congress.
It's disappointing that GOP leadership is either clueless or corrupt in this matter and the party cheerleaders are serving their role as enablers.

Does anyone think Bush will veto legislation that would control our borders? I know my congressman has changed his tune on the borders but he's up for re-election. I'm still not sure I will vote for him due to his stance in the past on immigration, and he is republican.

Excellent letter!
let me know when you need renforcements.
Unbelivable.
Why would the U.S. sabotage the efforts of its citizens? Abraham Lincoln was right when he said, "I don't fear the United States being defeated from the outside; I fear it being defeated from within!"

I am changing my voting registration to Independent this afternoon.Don't do it, then you can't vote in the primaries, unless I believe you change it back right there when you vote. I did this once and ended up having the choice of a bunch of independent primary candidates.
Push back, we all should. We will take this Republican party to where it needs to go, but if we leave we are divided and conquered. Stay and fight. We all should. Reclaim what is ours and make it ours.

The Department of Homeland Security is nothing but a high position jobs for friends program IMO. It wasn't needed and it has made a mess of things. I thought it was a bad idea at the time and now it's become pretty clear that my concerns were warranted. When has another layer of bureaucracy ever stopped a terrorist?
To: cva66snipe
Here it is basically. Bush from the beginning has surrounded himself with long time Friend of Family Yes Men. They were basically the same ones that Poppy had and failed. Don't tell him what he needs to know or you will be fired. Tell him only what he wants to hear and he still believes by what he is being told from his chosen that "All is well". I think that is most of his problem. Not a meanness but rather an arrogance that controls his thinking. Well, Bush does say he never reads the paper or TV news, that he gets it from his briefings so he could be somewhat unaware of how badly he is failing on some key issues.
Somewhat unaware but not totally unaware. If he's indeed totally unaware he should have never been elected.

"Flawed argument"...
Yes, I know. I should have been more clear. I believe that "our government" is arguing that position. I believe that those who are in power are letting in the illegals to replace the 50 million aborted americans.

Tenacious with a capital "T". I'm sorry that you are so afraid and already beaten, but like I said, I do not buy into fear. Your earlier post stating that anyone who did not vote 3rd party is, and I quote, "An Anti-American traitor" is what I was referring to. I responded to that idiotic statement. Now, you keep aggravating me about Azland?? Man, get a grip, try and make a reasonable connection, run and hide...and while you are cowering in the dark, take along a Webster's and a flashlight and get a clue as how to spell ala English. Now, shoo.

Abraham Lincoln was right when he said, "I don't fear the United States being defeated from the outside; I fear it being defeated from within!" Spot on. Lincoln was a seer in his time. He knew it, as did past presidents before him too.
Write your congress critters and senators. Spread the word that "we're mad as hell, and we're not going to take it anymore!"
