I like to see a graph of his job approval rating vs. when he created a new drug entitlement, nominated Harriot Myers, and demanded a path to citizenship for illegals aliens (among other things).

I don't think Harriet Miers had any real effect, not over the long term. The drug plan may have. It's the citizenship for illegals that's killing him.

Go back and read the threads regarding Miers (thanks for the proper spelling).

In fact, a significant number of Democrats that voted for Bush (I know a few) did so because of the abortion issue and supreme court appointments. They felt betrayed as many of us did.

Miers was the beginning of the base giving up on Bush. I would bet (not a lot...) that was when the downward trend began.
