Any legal people out there? What will this do to the prior conviction? I can't believe it would do much.

I am not a lawyer, but you can make a case that you were pressured into making a guilty verdict and recant your incriminating testimony. Good luck with that Buddy--

My understanding is that in federal court you can only withdraw your plea if the judge deviates from the agreed upon sentence. I've seen this happen. I don't know what was agreed upon when he pleaded.

I know in Georgia you can withdraw a guilty plea by right for a period after sentencing. I wouldn't be surprised if this ploy is successful.

Should have been tried in a military court.
